Workboat

From Noordwijkerhout to the Deadsea

ECTMarine has handed over Custom Workboat 104 to Arab Potash Company (APC) in Jordan. Together with APC’s main contractor Alghanem, the vessel passed its Site Acceptance Test on the brine ponds at the Dead Sea, around 400 metres below sea level. The compact workboat, with a forward wheelhouse, open working deck and knuckle-boom crane, was designed around the job and sized for transport by road on a standard flat rack. It is now ready to go into service.

Dredge tools

Plough ready for delivery

When vessels manoeuvre at a mooring spot, the thrust of their propellers stirs up the bottom and leaves it uneven, which over time reduces the water depth. For an EU customer we adapted our standard plough design to suit their vessel and this application: a tool built for the job. The teeth system comes from our partner ITR Benelux – thanks for the good cooperation!

Partners

Local partners make the difference

In the final stage of delivering a dredger, a brand-new outboard engine that was part of the delivery would not start. With the deadline close, Omtzigt Watersport in Sassenheim, just down the road, made time for us right away, and the delivery went ahead as planned. A big thank you for the fast and professional help – this kind of partnership makes all the difference.
