MTCC completed 08 projects during Q3

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) has completed eight projects during the third quarter of 2022.

MTCC states that the company managed a total of 112 projects during the third quarter. These included construction of harbors, airports, jetties, ports and roads, as well as shore protection, causeway protection, dredging and reclamation projects.

Out of these projects, eight projects were successfully completed and work on 11 projects were commenced.

The completed projects are;

Reconstruction of G.Dh. Kaadehdhoo Harbor Reconstruction; the project was completed on July 25, 2022. Under the project, MTCC did dredging and excavation of the existing harbor basin, construction of quay wall structure as well as the installation of harbor pavement and harbor streetlights along the quay wall line.

Design and build of Harbor Upgrade in Dh. Hulhudheli; the project was completed on July 30, 2022. The project included dredging works, laying of groyne, revetment and breakwater, construction of quay wall structure, concrete ramp, concrete bridge, installation of harbor pavement and streetlights along the quay wall line.

Renovation of H.Dh. Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital; the project was completed on August 11, 2022. Scope of works of the project included concrete works, masonry, painting, electrical works, ceiling, roofing, installation of elevator and bed elevator, firefighting system, CCTV, general furniture and finishing works.

H.Dh. Kulhudhuffushi Regional Hospital ICU Building; the project was completed on August 11, 2022. Scope of works of the project included concrete works, masonry, painting, cladding, electrical works, ceiling, roofing, installation of firefighting system, installation of medical gas, CCTV, general furniture and finishing works.

Design and build of Shore Protection Structures at R. Rasmaadhoo; the project was completed on August 31, 2022. The scope of the project included laying of rock boulders for Groyne to protect the shoreline of the island.

Design and build of Shore Protection Structures at S. Meedhoo; the project was completed on September 04, 2022. Under the project, MTCC did dredging for sand to be used in back filling and for filling geo bags, as well as the construction of a geo bag revetment to protect the shoreline of the island.

Design and build of K. Himmafushi Harbor, Phase Two; the project was completed on September 30, 2022. The scope of the project included dredging works, construction of breakwater, revetment, quay wall structure, concrete bridge, and concrete jetty as well as installation of harbor pavement and harbor lights along the quay wall line.

The company took on eight additional projects during the second quarter.
