Montea is strengthening its Belgian portfolio at three strategic logistics locations. In the Port of Antwerp, the company will develop a new pre-let logistics hub at a prime port location. In Anderlecht, Montea acquires an urban distribution site which is let to bpost on a long-term basis. In addition, Montea has signed a long-term lease agreement in Beringen, for the former Euro Shoe site acquired at the end of last year. CRG, the group behind the fashion brands JBC, CKS and Mayerline, will centralise their logistics operations on the site.
New multimodal logistics hub in the Port of Antwerp
Montea has been awarded the contract to develop a state-of-the-art warehouse at a unique location in the Port of Antwerp.
The development will be situated on a site of 83,000 m², comprising over 55,000 m² of gross lettable area, including warehouse, mezzanine and office spaces.
The site will be fully let to a logistics operator under a fixed 15-year triple net lease agreement and will be used for port-related distribution activities in Europe’s second-largest port. The site boasts a strong multimodal location, being situated close to the container terminals and the main motorways. The development has been designed with a flexible layout and will include partial refrigeration and will be built according to high sustainability standards, targeting to reach a minimum BREEAM Excellent certification. Construction is expected to commence in the second quarter of 2027, following the obtaining of the necessary permits. Completion is expected in the second quarter of 2028.
