MM Marine owned DF bunker tanker newbuilds enter next phase of construction

China-based specialist engineering company Gloryholder Liquefied Gas Machinery (DL) Co.,Ltd (Gloryholder) on Saturday (8 October) said it has entered into an equipment contract with shipyard Jiangmen Hangtong Shipping Co., Ltd. of CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering Co.,Ltd.

The shipyard has ordered liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel supply systems for delivery by June 2023; the equipment will be installed on two Bureau Veritas classed 7,999 dwt dual-fuel bunkering newbuildings owned by MM Marine Inc.

MM Marine is the ship management arm of Minerva Bunkering Pte Ltd and is also a subsidiary of Mercuria Energy Trading S.A., according to Gloryholder, which notes it will be responsible for providing the entire LNG fuel gas supply system.

The scope of supply includes: a double-layer vacuum insulated C-type storage tank, LNG filling station, water glycol system, ESD system, nitrogen cylinders and other equipment supplies including, installation guidance, system commissioning, gas trial and crew training services, etc.
