Manson’s Terminal 1 Replacement project team has begun pile-driving operations at the Port of Anchorage in Alaska. Using the derrick barge WOTAN, crews are installing 6 ft. diameter, 150 ft. piles as part of the ongoing installation work.
The project is part of the Municipality of Anchorage’s (MOA) 10-year Port of Alaska Modernization Program. It includes demolishing and constructing a new wharf, expanding the shoreline, and dredging nearby channels. Scheduled for completion in 2029, this five-year effort replaces aging infrastructure to improve safety, efficiency, and resiliency in the region’s harsh marine environment.
