On the evening of July 31, 2024, Major General William H. “Butch” Graham Jr. was confirmed by the United States Senate as the next chief of engineers and commanding general of the Corps of Engineers. The Dredging Contractors of America (DCA) congratulates Mr. Graham on this accomplishment, and look forward to continuing with our longstanding partnership.
In a thoughtful announcement of this news, the current commanding general and his wife stated the following: “Sharise and I want to be the first to congratulate our future 56th CHIEF OF ENGINEERS! Confirmed by the Senate earlier this evening, this command team is going to be absolutely great for our Army and Nation. Congratulations, William H. “Butch” Graham and Janet – we are all so proud and happy for you!” –USACE Commanding General Scott Spellmon.
The Dredging Contractors of America agrees,
“General Butch Graham is a great American. He is an outstanding leader and will bring exceptional experience and continuity to this role,” said DCA’s CEO, William P. Doyle. “He knows what he is doing and understands the importance of partnering with the dredging, marine construction, and all private sector industries.”
Congrats again, Major General Graham!
