Our vessel Les Alizés successfully installed the first monopile foundation for the Dutch offshore wind farm OranjeWind. Once fully operational in 2028, this wind farm will generate enough renewable electricity to supply the equivalent of 1 million Dutch households.
Located 53 kilometres off the Dutch coast, OranjeWind will comprise 53 monopile foundations. We will install all of them by early 2027. At a later stage, our vessel Voltaire will install the wind turbines on top of the monopiles.
The wind farm will serve as a blueprint for the integration of offshore wind farms into the Dutch energy system and balancing variable wind power with electricity demand.
