Norway’s Island Offshore has secured light well intervention work for its 2008-built Island Wellserver on the Norwegian continental shelf, taking its order book to close to $274m.
The contract with the end customer, Equinor, has been entered into by TIOS, Island Offshore’s former joint venture with TechnipFMC and cooperation partner for this service for many years, which also includes Altus and Oceaneering.
TechnipFMC announced a two-year deal with Equinor for riserless light well intervention earlier this month. For Island Offshore, the new contract applies for 290 days annually in 2024 and 2025, with options to extend.
Island Offshore has similar arrangements for the 2008-built Island Constructor, but with different operators in Norway and internationally, and expects more than 600 days a year for these vessels on the Norwegian continental shelf.
