In today’s uncertain world, energy independence has become more important than ever. And offshore wind is a key part of the solution. Inch Cape, a 50/50 equal joint venture by ESB and Red Rock Renewables, are developing a 1080 MW Offshore Wind Farm located 15 kilometres off the Angus coast in Scotland. The project will generate enough clean electricity to power half of all Scottish homes while reducing carbon emissions by 2.5 million tonnes each year.
With our heavy lift vessel Les Alizés, we transported and installed all 54 monopile foundations for the Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm. These foundations will support 15 MW Vestas turbines, making Inch Cape the first offshore wind farm in the United Kingdom to use this turbine model.

The campaign started in December 2025 and was successfully completed over the following six months, despite challenging soil and winter weather conditions combined. Since the first installation in December, our heavy lift vessel Les Alizés has been transiting to and from the Port of Leith in Edinburgh collecting five monopiles per voyage and steadily installing them across the site.
