Singapore-based Fast Offshore Supply (FOS) has selected Incat Crowther to design a fleet of 10 crew transport vessels (CTVs) set to work for Shell offshore Brunei.

The new vessels, which will be capable of transporting 80 passengers and a payload of 150 tonnes at speeds of up to 30 knots, will be constructed in multiple shipyards across the region, including FOS’s own shipyard in Singapore.

“Constructing this fleet across multiple shipyards will enable rapid deployment of the new vessels. Each shipyard receives an identical, highly detailed digital package containing everything required for construction,” said Ed Dudson, Incat Crowther’s managing director for Europe.

The new vessels feature an SMST gangway for personnel transfer to offshore infrastructure. The vessels also have a 200 sq m cargo deck capable of transporting supplies and equipment to Shell’s offshore assets. The first vessels are anticipated to enter service in early 2027.
