New Delhi: In a bid to strengthen the logistics sector and improve the flow of goods across the state, Gujarat officials have signed an agreement to digitise the logistics landscape by leveraging the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP), a PIB press release stated.

The agreement was signed by Rajat Kumar Saini, CEO and MD, NICDC; Banchha Nidhi Pani, CEO, GIDB, and Rajesh Kumar Singh, Secretary, Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT).

The aim of the collaboration is to provide real-time data insights on key logistics parameters such as shipment tracking, vehicle utilisation, infrastructure availability, and transit times. This will help in improving the coordination of various state departments and enhancing the decision-making processes of the government.

The Gujarat ULIP Dashboard will be developed by Logistics Data Services Limited (NLDS), which is expected to provide a comprehensive tool to empower the stakeholders across the government and private sectors. It will be integrated with various state departments, ensuring the continuous flow of information.

The dashboard is part of the initiative of the government to leverage technology and innovation in order to drive progress in the logistics sector. This collaboration is expected to play a role in strengthening the digital transformation of the logistics sector and improving the flow of goods across Gujarat.
