Roger Guenther, who led Port Houston as it became a top-five US container gateway, will step down as its executive director at the end of the summer, with the port naming its infrastructure chief as his successor.
The port’s commissioners on Tuesday voted to appoint Charlie Jenkins, the port’s chief channel infrastructure officer, to be Houston’s next executive director upon Guenther’s departure on Aug. 30.
