Yesterday, GLDD was proud to join community, industry, and government leaders in celebrating the ribbon cutting for the Freeport Harbor Channel Improvement Project.
As the contractor for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District, Great Lakes Dredge & Dock (GLDD) is proud to have delivered this important infrastructure project. The channel improvements will help strengthen Port Freeport’s role in global commerce, enhance supply chain efficiency, and create lasting economic opportunities for the region and beyond.
Pictured are Garrett Gibson, GLDD Senior Vice President, Contract Operations; David Mills, GLDD Project Sponsor; U.S. Representative Randy Weber; Phyllis Saathoff, Executive Director/CEO of Port Freeport; and Sang Yi, President and CEO of the American Association of Port Authorities, commemorating this significant milestone.
Congratulations to Port Freeport, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District, and all project partners whose collaboration, vision, and dedication made this achievement possible. We are proud to play a role in building the infrastructure that keeps America’s ports competitive, connected, and prepared for the future.
