On Friday, October 11, 2024, GLDD’s Richard Balzano, VP Government Relations and former MARAD Deputy Administrator joined the Massachusetts Maritime Academy community, more than 200 representatives from maritime universities around the world, Maritime Administrator Rear Admiral Ann Phillips, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren, U.S. Congressman Bill Keating, and other federal, state, and local legislators to welcome the arrival of the Training Ship Patriot State to the Academy’s campus.
