On April 8, 2026, Great Lakes Dredge & Dock proudly presented the fifth and final installment of our $500,000 commitment to Texas A&M University in support of the GLDD Coastal & Dredging Laboratory at Texas A&M University. Lasse Petterson, CEO of GLDD, took the opportunity to commit GLDD to another five years supporting the Lab. The gathering also included Dean of Engineering Robert Bishop, Ocean Engineering Department Head Sharath Girimaji, and Ocean Engineering Department faculty and students.
This investment reflects our long‑standing partnership with Texas A&M and our shared dedication to advancing coastal engineering, dredging innovation, and the next generation of industry leaders.
We look forward to seeing the continued impact the GLDD Coastal & Dredging Laboratory will have on research, education, and the future of our field.
