FDOT Proposes $86 Million for Dredging Project in Five-year Work Plan

The state is tentatively allocating more than $86 million in Florida Department of Transportation funding over the next five years for Jacksonville’s harbor deepening project.

The controversial project to allow for larger ships to access the port’s shipping channel would cost $700 million of taxpayer money — with the local share about $370 million.
