FAIRHOPE, Ala. – The city of Fairhope is starting a new restoration and stabilization project to fight ongoing erosion at Magnolia Beach.
The city said the work will include building an offshore breakwater system and major beach renourishment.
The project is funded by a GOMESA grant.
The city says there will be a community meeting during which the public is invited to provide input. The meeting will be at 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at the Nix Center on Bayou Drive.
