Eroded NJ Beaches Replenishment of 2 Million Cu. Yds. of Sand to Start After Memorial Day

Two severely eroded Jersey Shore beaches will undergo a $21.6 million sand replenishment starting in June, after Memorial Day crowds arrive. The federally funded project will restore parts of Sea Isle City and Strathmere, which suffered heavy damage from recent storms. Delays stemmed from earlier congressional spending cuts, with work now fast-tracked alongside other Cape May County repairs.
