Hannibal Parks and Rec crews have begun a dredging project at the Nipper Park marina and boat ramp, a routine maintenance job expected to take nearly three weeks to complete.
Crews will work daily from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and boaters should expect the docks and boat ramp to be closed during those hours for the duration of the project.
“Certain docks will not be able to be used at that time,” said Greg Price, a lead maintenance worker for Hannibal Parks and Recreation. “They may have to tie up some other place if they have to access getting into their car or vehicle here.”
Once crews leave for the day, boaters can use the marina again.
“They can come into the harbor after 3 p.m.,” Price said.
