Bulacan 1st District Rep. Danny A. Domingo said his office will continue to cooperate with San Miguel Corp. to conduct further dredging operations in his district to prevent flooding.
In a meeting recently with SMC representatives, Domingo said the company reported that 1.68 million metric tons of soil and garbage were removed from the rivers in the first district and other parts of Bulacan.
During the meeting, he said SMC sought his help to temporarily relocate the fishponds and oyster farms found in Pamawaran River in Malolos City.
Domingo promised that he would bring SMC’s concern to the local government of Malolos in order to do the dredging and to help the fishermen who will be affected.
He thanked SMC for its help in the dredging operations.
