Dredging at Gul Basin Police Coast Guard

From 14 February to 30 April, dredging work is being carried out in Gul Basin.

According to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore Port Marine Notice No.14 of 2023, the work is being conducted 24 hours daily – including Sundays & Public Holidays – within the area bounded by the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum):
1) 01° 18.394’N / 103° 40.253’E
2) 01° 18.401’N / 103° 40.307’E
3) 01° 18.347’N / 103° 40.313’E
4) 01° 18.340’N / 103° 40.259’E

The dredging work will be carried out by crane barge, supported by hopper barges and work boats. Safety boats will be deployed to warn other craft to keep clear of the area.

Craft involved in the works exhibit the appropriate local and international day and night signals.

When in the vicinity of the working area, mariners are reminded to:
a) Keep well clear and not to enter the working area;
b) Maintain a proper lookout;
c) Proceed at a safe speed and navigate with caution;
d) Maintain a listening watch on VHF Channel 22 (Jurong Control);
and
e) Communicate with Jurong Control on VHF Channel 22 for assistance, if required.
