DEME’s Norse Wind Reaches Halfway Mark at 660 MW Nordseecluster A Offshore Wind Farm

Posted on September 2, 2026

Halfway there at Nordseecluster A. Our jack-up transport & installation vessel Norse Wind has now installed the 22nd of 44 Vestas 15 MW turbines at the Nordseecluster A offshore wind farm in the German North Sea.

Operating from the Port of Esbjerg, Norse Wind transports and installs up to five turbine sets per cycle, helping keep one of Germany’s largest offshore wind developments on track. Behind every installation is the combined effort of the project team, crew on board and our partners, working together to keep operations moving safely and efficiently.

Once completed, Nordseecluster A will deliver 660 MW of renewable energy as the first phase of the 1.6 GW Nordseecluster. The Nordseecluster is a joint offshore wind project between RWE and Norges Bank Investment Management, with RWE responsible for the construction and future operation of the wind farm.
