The Nordlicht I offshore wind farm continues to take shape in the German North Sea. Following the installation of the first monopile foundation in July, the first transition piece has now been installed by our jack-up installation vessel Sea Installer. Together, DEME’s vessels Orion and Sea Installer are carrying out the foundation and transition piece installation campaign for what will become Germany’s largest offshore wind farm.
Located 85 kilometers north of the island of Borkum, Nordlicht I will have a capacity of around 980 MW once completed.
