Following the successful development of our Cutter Suction Dredger simulators, DE Klop is taking the next step in dredger simulation technology.
Together with MSA-Service and Controllab, we are currently developing a new Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger (TSHD) simulator.
The three companies are working together under the name Dutch Dredging Simulators, combining our knowledge and experience in dredging, simulation and dynamic modelling.
The simulator is being developed as a flexible training platform, allowing operators and students to practice the complete dredging process in a realistic and controlled environment.
An important part of the development is the simulation of the actual dredging process. Vessel speed, soil characteristics, draghead behaviour, pump performance, mixture concentration and hopper loading all interact and influence the final production.
By combining DE Klop’s dredging knowledge, MSA-Service’s simulator experience and Controllab’s dynamic modelling expertise, we aim to create a practical simulator that brings the dredging process as close as possible to real-life operation.
