Available transport infrastructure is among the key drivers of the economy. Implementation of the federal programmes for the development of seaports, the Northern Sea Route and inland water ways of the Russian Federation is under the special control of the President and the Government. Disruption of deadlines for completion of transport infrastructure projects is unacceptable.

With the withdrawal of major dredging companies and suppliers of sophisticated equipment from the Russian market the industry faced an urgent issue of execution of underwater technological operations and hydraulic engineering works by Russian companies. Who is to occupy the vacated niche in the market? Who will build new ships and supply equipment? How will the Government help?

Import substitution programmes, typical projects for construction of the technical fleet, new engineering solutions of the sectoral science, designers and manufacturers, new materials and technologies, specific requirements for bidders, opportunities of obtaining state financing and favourable credit facilities in the industry, supervising of large-scale infrastructure project and other issues will be discussed with the delegates of the 6th Hydraulic Engineering and Dredging Congress on 15-16 February 2023 in Moscow.

Every year, the event gathers over 400 delegates representing the major stakeholders of hydraulic engineering and dredging works including suppliers of sophisticated equipment and components, designing and engineering organizations, industry-focused universities.
