Dajin Heavy Industry has selected the ULSTEIN HX122 design for the development of its offshore installation vessel.
Ulstein said the vessel, featuring the U-STERN® hull solution, has been designed by Ulstein Design & Solutions B.V. in the Netherlands.
Dajin noted that the project marks an expansion of its capabilities from manufacturing, logistics and transportation into offshore installation.
The vessel is optimised for installing monopiles, jacket foundations and offshore substations, supporting demand for larger and more complex offshore wind projects.
Dajin aims to add offshore installation capacity to its existing capabilities to provide a more integrated offering across the offshore wind value chain and reduce interfaces between different parties during project execution.
