A cargo vessel exploded in the eastern Chinese city of Ningbo on August 9, 2024. State media said no casualties or injuries have been reported from the blast, which happened in Zhoushan Port. The accident is believed to have been caused by a container carrying dangerous goods on the vessel. Authorities were investigating the cause of the blast.
