Cargo Port Project Open for Applications

Posted on May 31, 2018

Bermuda Land Development Company (BLDC) is inviting local and international developers to apply for consideration regarding an international cargo port infrastructure project in Bermuda.

The proposed facility, whose establishment will apparently boost capacity and improve the North Atlantic Ocean territory’s ability to offer possible services like international transhipping and fish-processing, is anticipated to exceed $75m and take several years to complete.

A partner for the project will be selected based on request for qualifications (RFQ) submissions, with qualifying companies set to be shortlisted to submit full proposals near the end of this year.

BLDC is a private company which oversees the development of land and buildings previously occupied by US and Canadian military forces in the British Overseas Territory.

Submissions for the project will close on June 29. For RFQ submission details, downloads and contact protocols, visit www.bldc.bm.
