Callan Marine’s dredge General Bradley, initiated a maintenance dredging project at the Bolivar Ferry Terminal

Posted on June 20, 2022

Callan Marine’s latest fleet asset, the 28” cutter suction dredge General Bradley, recently initiated a maintenance dredging project located at the Bolivar Ferry Terminal. This is the inaugural project for the General Bradley, consisting of the removal of 600,000 cubic yards of material and returning the landings to the required depth of 22’. The dredged material is being hydraulically transported via pipeline to an adjacent placement area where a beach is being constructed. The project is anticipated to be completed this month (June 2022).

“We are fortunate to partner with the Texas Department of Transportation for several years now,” remarked James Frazier, a Callan Marine Project Manager. “Callan Marine is proud to invest in the assets and projects that help keep the ferries operating safely.”

The General Bradley joined the ranks of Callan Marine’s other dredges: the 32” General MacArthur, the 18” General Pershing, the 16” General Patton, and the 12” General Eisenhower.
