Bundaberg Flood Protection Study Invites Input

Posted on November 13, 2015

The Bundaberg flood protection study is a vital component of the Queensland Government’s commitment to develop a 10-year action plan for flood mitigation works in Bundaberg.

The study will build on the previous work undertaken in 2013 by the Bundaberg Regional Council to identify flood mitigation projects.

The Queensland Government is now engaging with the community to further understand flood behaviour as it works to assess and refine these mitigation measures.

Stage 1 of the independent study is being undertaken by Jacobs and includes review of previous studies and a public consultation period to capture local knowledge about flooding and potential flood solutions.

This is the first phase of consultation in the development of the 10-year action plan.
