We admit, the title of this post may raise your eyebrows, but itโ€™s not as far-fetched as it seems. In fact, our offshore construction support vessel BOKA Falcon is equipped with a T-Rex – an impressive plough designed for heavy-duty tasks. The T-Rex has been installed in the A-frame on the aft deck so that the vessel can remove many dozens of large and heavy boulders from the cable route of the Baltica 2 offshore wind farm in the Polish Baltic Sea.

In addition to the T-Rex, we are mobilizing a second plough to Poland – the Megalodon – to precisely carve out a trench in which to install the cable. So the BOKA Falcon is literally paving the way for our Boskalis Subsea Cables colleagues to install both export and inter-array cables next year for ร˜rsted‘s and PGE Polska Grupa Energetycznaโ€™s offshore wind farm. The Baltica 2 wind farm will generate 1.5 GW of clean energy, significantly contributing to Polandโ€™s renewable energy goals.
