The Birdon team are thrilled to welcome Joshua Van Der Heiden as General Manager Australia East.
Josh brings over 30 years of operational and strategic leadership experience across construction, engineering, telecommunications, environmental, and industrial services. He is widely recognised for driving operational excellence and leading large-scale business transformations.
Throughout his career, Josh has successfully led multidisciplinary teams of more than 1,400 employees, managed annual revenues exceeding $750 million, and consistently delivered strong financial performance and sustainable growth.
Prior to joining Birdon, Josh held senior executive roles at Ventia, where he oversaw diverse business units across Australia, with a strong focus on safety, innovation, and delivering shareholder value. Josh holds a Master of Engineering Management from UTS, a Bachelor of Science from UNSW, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
He is known for his strategic vision, commercial and financial acumen, and commitment to fostering a high-performance culture; where the safety of our people and delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients remain top priorities.
