Australia-Singapore green shipping initiative asks for proposals

The call for proposals invites companies and research institutes to submit projects in collaboration with maritime partners, ensuring adherence to the submission guidelines and deadlines. Evaluations will be based on criteria outlined in the application forms. Funding support for projects includes up to 30% for non-SME companies and 50% for SMEs, with research institutes eligible for up to 100% coverage of approved direct costs.

The ASLET initiative is co-delivered by CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore (MPA) and is supported by the Governments of Singapore and Australia.

The two countries launched the $20 million initiative in April 2024. The Initiative also supports the supports the Singapore and Australia Green and Digital Shipping Corridor (GDSC) to decarbonise and digitise shipping routes.
