Paul Aucoin, executive director of the Port of South Louisiana, is one of four newly appointed members of the World Trade Center of New Orleans’ board of directors. The three other new board members are Michael Hecht, president and CEO of Greater New Orleans Inc.; Heather Hohensee, Tellurian Inc.’s government and public affairs director; and Dolph Parro, executive vice president of Republic National Distributing Company.
“These professionals join an industrious, talented and diverse World Trade Center board that, since 1944, has had the privilege of working with high-profile trade-industry leaders, both domestically and internationally,” said World Trade Center of New Orleans Chairman Stephen Hanemann.
“One of our many goals at the World Trade Center has been targeting and maintaining a top-tier roster of the most respected and recognized business professionals in Louisiana and the Gulf Region,” said Ed Webb, CEO of the World Trade Center. “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to work alongside our newly elected directors.”
Aucoin is in his eighth year at the helm of the Port of South Louisiana, which spans 54 miles of the Mississippi River between New Orleans and Baton Rouge. The port ranks near the top in the nation in terms of cargo throughput and handles more than half of all grain exports in the United States.
