Posted on September 7, 2022

British subsea rental equipment and solutions specialist Ashtead Technology said Monday it plans to acquire WeSubsea to expand its offering of mechanical solutions services.

Founded in 2010, WeSubsea is a subsea dredging technology solutions specialist with operations in Aberdeenshire, UK.

The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2022, according to Ashtead Technology. This will be his sixth acquisition for the group in the last five years.

Alan Pilley CEO of Ashtead Technology said: Their fleet of high performance dredging systems and strong technical know-how are a very strategic fit for our business and complement our extensive range of dredging, cutting, decoating and ROV tooling solutions and services.

“The acquisition is expected to close during the fourth quarter and will provide the broadest range of subsea equipment and services in these areas to support our customers’ operations across the offshore energy sector, thereby increasing our global reach in IMR and decommissioning.” It underscores our ambition to be a leader.”

Ashtead Technology did not share financial details of the planned acquisition.
