The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is accepting public comment on SouthCoast Wind’s proposed offshore energy project 20 miles south of Nantucket.

The overall proposal involves the construction, maintenance and eventual decommissioning of the SouthCoast wind farm plus offshore and onshore export cables, and onshore substation work. The SouthCoast wind farm would include up to 147 wind turbine generators and up to five offshore substation platforms connected by a network of inter-array cables.

The public notice with more detailed information is available for review at, file # NAE-2020-00958.

Public comments on the proposed work should be forwarded no later than April 4 to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, Attn: Ruth Ann Brien, Regulatory Division, 696 Virginia Road, Concord, MA 01742; or by e-mail to Reference file # NAE-2020-00958.
