- Honors highlight Arcadis’ commitment to sustainability and innovation in surveying.
Hong Kong – September 6, 2024 – Arcadis, in collaboration with its clients, proudly received multiple prestigious awards at the recent Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS) Awards Ceremony held at the Hong Kong Ocean Park Marriott Hotel. These accolades honor projects that prioritize sustainability and contribute to a greener, more eco-friendly environment.
The HKIS Awards aim to commend the exceptional achievements of Hong Kong surveyors, emphasizing their role in sustainable development. This year, the awards spotlighted innovative sustainable practices in the surveying process.
The Reclamation of Three Runway System Project at Hong Kong International Airport was awarded the HKIS Excellence in Surveying Award and the Grand Award in the Construction (Infrastructure) Category. Arcadis played a crucial role in the successful completion of more than 20 projects aimed at improving Hong Kong International Airport by providing expert cost management services. This project showcased the surveying team’s expertise and innovation in handling a challenging large-scale reclamation.
Arcadis’ notable achievements at the HKIS Awards 2024 include:
- Grand Award in Construction (Infrastructure) Category: The Reclamation of Three Runway System Project, Hong Kong International Airport
- Grand Award in Planning Category: AIRSIDE
- Grand Award in Planning Category: Kwun Tong Town Centre Project (K7)
In addition to the grand awards, Arcadis also received recognition in the following categories:
- Merit in Pre-construction Category: Public Rental Housing and Subsidised Sale Flats Development at Queen’s Hill Site 1, Fanling
- Merit in Construction (Alteration and Addition) Category: Hang Seng Bank Headquarters – Workplace Transformation
- Merit in Construction (Building) Category: Inland Revenue Centre in Kai Tak Development
- Merit in Construction (Building) Category: North Lantau Hospital Hong Kong Infection Control Centre
Arcadis was a finalist in the Pre-construction Category for the WWF HK Mai Po Infrastructure Upgrade.

The HKIS Awards 2024 featured a rigorous review process, including screening, site visits, and jury panel presentations. The esteemed jury panel consisted of eleven industry leaders, while nine Past Presidents of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors served as members of the first screening committee.
