ARC Offers Preliminary 3D IDGM of Upcoming 2.4 Million cu yd USACE Bid for San Juan Harbor Dredging Project

Posted on May 4, 2022

Arc Surveying & Mapping, Inc. of Jacksonville Florida has over thirty-five (35) years of surveying experience in Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands, specializing in dredging projects. In addition to performing condition, pre and post dredge surveys, Arc also provides geophysical surveys describing the subsurface on maintenance and new work dredging projects.

During June 2022, the Jacksonville District US Army Corps of Engineers proposes to advertise a 2,407,000-cy maintenance and new work deepening project of San Juan Harbor. Utilizing preliminary plans & specs furnished by the ACOE at a recent Industry Day meeting, Arc has developed a 3D Integrated Digital Ground Model (IDGM) of the San Juan Harbor dredging project, integrating bathymetry, borings and geotechnical information (SPTs).

Arc Surveying & Mapping, Inc. would be pleased to display the preliminary plan & spec data in an ArcGeoTwin model and to offer hydrographic and geophysical surveying services to interested parties. The inclusion of an Aquares geophysical survey into the San Juan ArcGeoTwin model provides an excellent database for estimating and planning.

Please contact John F. Sawyer, Vice-president, Arc Surveying & Mapping, Inc. to schedule a virtual viewing of the San Juan Harbor 3D ArcGeoTwin model jsawyer@arcsurveyors.com.
