APM Terminals (APMT) has appointed new Managing Directors for Oman’s Port of Salalah and the Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT).
APM Terminals and the Port of Salalah announced the appointment of Steven Yoogalingam as the new Managing Director of the Port, effective from 1 November 2024.
Yoogalingam brings a wealth of experience to this role, having previously served as Managing Director of the Suez Canal Container Terminal in Port Said, Egypt.
His career with APM Terminals also includes key roles at the Aqaba Container Terminal in Jordan and the Port of Tanjung Pelepas in Malaysia.
Additionally, Yoogalingam has gained international expertise through his work with ports in Jebel Ali, Dubai, and Busan, South Korea.
Yoogalingam is a Malaysian national, holds a bachelor’s degree in law from King’s College London and has completed multiple executive management programs with APM Terminals.
Furthermore, APM Terminals and the Suez Canal Container Terminal (SCCT) announced the appointment of Keld Mosgaard Christensen as Managing Director of SCCT, effective 1 November 2024.
Christensen joins SCCT following his tenure as Managing Director at the Port of Salalah in Oman. Before his role in Oman, he held positions with APM Terminals in Poti, Georgia, as well as at the company’s headquarters in The Hague, Netherlands.
Christensen holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Aarhus and began his professional journey with the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he advanced to Consul General before transitioning to the corporate sector.
