The harbor development project in Dhigurah island of Alif Dhaal atoll is progressing well.
This was revealed by the Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) on Thursday.
As such, providing the latest updates of the Dhigurah harbor development project, MTCC revealed that they are currently conducting the new harbor basin dredging operations.
The company commenced the physical work and mobilized the Dhigurah harbor development project in early March this year.
Under the scope of the project, MTCC will be conducting dredging operations in an area measuring 64,416 cubic meters as well as channel dredging operations in an area of 6,770 cubic meters.
Further, a 294-meter quay wall, a breakwater measuring 287 meters and a 98-meter revetment will also be constructed.
MTCC will be installing harbor pavement measuring an area of 2,324 square meters under the project as well.
The scope of the project also includes the construction of a ramp, a jetty and an apron as well as the installation of harbor lights.
The Dhigurah harbor development project is valued at MVR 50.02 million.
