The Southern Chinese port of Xiamen inked cooperation agreement with PSA International to establish a friendly port relationship and extensive cooperation.
Following the cooperation with Singapore port, Xiamen port currently has 17 sister port relationships globally.
Both parties are committed to deepening cooperation in launching new routes, increasing shipping services, improving port utilisation, and enhancing technology and talents communication.
Singapore port is a key component of the “Belt and Road” initiative. Xiamen Port is a port of call for 38 Southeast Asian container services, ten of which pass through Singapore Port.
Collaboration with Singapore port has great significance to Xiamen port to attract more leading industry players from shipping and port sectors and promote the high-quality development of Xiamen port, commented Xiamen port.
