World Bank (WB) Tuesday held out the assurance to support shipping ministry in its different developmental activities including, the dredging project of Dhaka-Ctg-Ashuganj water way, capacity building of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA), development of 14 launch terminals, four passenger terminals and construction of two cargo terminals.
WB Country Director to Bangladesh Qimiao Fan today gave the assurance to the Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan at a meeting at secretariat, said a press release.
They also discussed bilateral issues of both the countries.
Acting secretary of the ministry Ashok Madhob Rai and BIWTA Chairman Commodore M Mozammel Huq were also present.
