Recently, Straatman received an order from Weeks Marine for the engineering and production of two Pinch Ball Joints.
The Pinch Ball joint is mostly used between a floating pipeline and cutter suction dredger. The great advantage of this type of Ball Joint is the easy and quick connection and disconnection of a floating pipeline.
These Pinch Ball Joints ordered by Weeks Marine will both have an inside diameter of 762 mm, a 20 degree tilting angle and a maximum working pressure of 31 bar.
