Vinci Energies has announced the purchase of two Dutch companies operating in the maritime sector for an undisclosed amount.

The companies bought from the same shareholder are RH Marine and Bakker Sliedrecht.

RH Marine has been in business for more than a century and a half and now provides automation and electrical services.

Bakker was founded in 1919. It designs electrical systems for the nautical, dredging and offshore sectors.

The deals open a new market for the French contractor’s Energies division.

Vinci said it would €160m to its existing turnover of €19.3bn, and will expand its 3,900 payroll by 620 employees.

The transaction will be submitted to the Dutch competition authority for approval. If this is granted, the deal will be finalised before the end of the year.
