A new logistics firm, Gulf of America Logistics (GOAL), has officially launched in Louisiana, bringing U.S.-based, veteran-owned solutions to the Gulf Coast’s booming capital project market. Headquartered in Bossier City, GOAL arrives amid a surge of large-scale investments in energy, infrastructure, and industrial developments across the region.
Led by managing partner Brent Patterson, a U.S. Navy logistics veteran and former senior vice president at Blue Water Shipping, GOAL aims to support clients across key sectors such as LNG, petrochemicals, power generation, and infrastructure.
“The Gulf Coast is currently one of the hottest markets for capital projects in North America,” Patterson said. “From hydrogen hubs to carbon capture and refinery expansions, demand for heavy-lift and specialized transport services is accelerating – yet local providers remain scarce. GOAL is here to change that.”
GOAL’s leadership blends deep technical expertise with intimate knowledge of Louisiana’s regulatory landscape and political environment. The company offers comprehensive logistics services, including transportation engineering, feasibility studies, barging, rail and trucking, chartering, customs clearance, and health, safety, security, environment, and quality (HSSEQ) compliance.
“Our team brings decades of experience not only in project execution but also in navigating Louisiana’s complex regulatory environment — from permitting to levee systems,” Patterson noted. “Having lived through the Gulf’s hurricanes, tides, and terrain, our local insight is crucial for mitigating risks inherent to this challenging operating area.”
While GOAL primarily focuses on serving U.S.-based capital projects, it also provides international third-party logistics (3PL) and multimodal solutions through a broad extended network.
GOAL’s leadership is further bolstered by partner Rock Bordelon, CEO of Allegiance Health Management, a well-known Louisiana entrepreneur with strong regional ties and regulatory expertise. Fellow partner Chuck Paddock brings extensive experience in steel and inland waterways from his time as an executive at Ceres Barge Line, while Vice President of Operations Keith Lincoln contributes over 20 years of global logistics project experience from his previous role at Bertling Logistics Inc.
“Our team’s combined forwarding, barge, trucking, rail, and EPC experience is critical to supporting the Gulf’s substantial investment activity,” Patterson said. “As barge and asset capacity tighten, we are ready with innovative solutions.”
GOAL is currently securing a port facility in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, and has secured an exclusive agreement to provide asset-based trucking services throughout the region.
“There’s a growing America First agenda, and GOAL is proud to be part of that,” Patterson emphasized. “We are committed to keeping logistics contracts and the associated jobs in the U.S., helping to streamline supply chains, reduce project risks, and deliver real value to developers, EPCs, and OEMs operating in the Gulf Coast.”
