Rotterdam, the Netherlands, 16 March 2020 – As the COVID-19 continues to spread, Van Oord is taking the necessary precautions to keep employees and society safe and well. As an international company working around the globe we take our responsibility to act according to both national and international guidelines while executing our clients’ projects. The Van Oord approach remains to follow the line and recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO), the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) and travel instructions from the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Van Oord has decided to have all employees working at the (project) offices in the Netherlands work from home for the remainder of March. Despite the challenges, we are able to keep our communication lines open to our clients, business partners and suppliers, mostly via e-mail and telephone.
