On 3 July 2025, Rijkswaterstaat and the GelreGroen consortium – consisting of Dura Vermeer, BESIX, HOCHTIEF, Van Oord, and John Laing – signed the updated DBFM contract for carrying out the Dutch ViA15 project. This brings extension of the A15 to the A12 and widening of both motorways one step closer.
From January 2026, GelreGroen will be responsible for the construction, upkeep, and 20-year maintenance of the route. Preparatory work will start this autumn. In 2031, traffic will be able to use the new A15 and the bridge over the Pannerden Canal for the first time.
GelreGroen stands for a nature-inclusive approach. The consortium works with care for the surroundings and aims to ensure satisfied residents, road users, nature conservation organisations, and administrative partners.
The ViA15 project will contribute to improved accessibility in the Arnhem-Nijmegen and Achterhoek regions, and the Liemers area. It will also improve the link between the port of Rotterdam and Germany.
