USACE to Dredge Essex River for First Time in 35 Years

ESSEX — The Essex River, a federally-managed waterway, will be dredged for the first time in about 35 years. The federal government will spend $4.4 million to do the job. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New England District, announced Friday that Congress approved $273 million in funding for “projects and studies throughout New England,” including the Essex River project.
