ST. LUCIE INLET, Fla. (CBS12) — Around 25,000-cubic yards of material is expected to be removed from the St. Lucie County Inlet over a 12-day span, starting this coming Wednesday.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from the Jacksonville District is visiting parts of the Okeechobee and Intracoastal Waterways for the New Year’s project. Boaters in the area should give a wide berth to the dredging vessel, named Murden, and its crew who will be working around the clock for the duration of the shoaling material removal.
