At the Iraqi Embassy, June 20, Lt. Gen Todd Semonite and Col. (P) Mark Quander met with the Iraqi ambassador to the United States, Ambassador Fareed Yasseen, and Brig. Gen. Mustafa Salahuddin Mohammed Al Bayati, defense attaché. The purpose of the meeting was for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers leadership to update the Ambassador on the recent Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and the full return of the drilling and grouting operations from the USACE Mosul Dam Task Force back to the Iraqi Ministry of Water Resources.
